Dear Customer,

We thought it would be best to address our customers personally, in relation to some queries we have received lately regarding the "pinkness" of our most recent batch of VG based Nicotine, which is currently on sale.

For the last week, the 1 Litre & 500ml variants of VG based Nicotine issued by us, have been this "pink" batch. As this batch is now being sent out across all sizes including 100ml from today, we thought it'd be best to send you a little informative email about these queries we have received.

Firstly, Colour of this nature is purely atheistic, Nicotine is a NATURAL product, as is VG, with that, there will be natural variations in colour from batch to batch and this has NO effect on the quality of product.

You will see on the image below, the two most recent batches of Nicotine. The lighter pink (right) is the older batch (produced 15/01/2020 Batch 72NGLY089) The darker pink (left) is the fresher batch (produced 08/04/2020 Batch RD-068)

Most of the questions have been due to a misconception that Nicotine is crystal clear, with customers being concerned that the product is oxidized due to its colour. This is not the case,
If the product was Oxidized, it would be Yellow/Orange/Brown depending on the cause of oxidization (AIR/HEAT/LIGHT) and the base product (PG/VG/PG-SALT)
Pink is not the colour that oxidized Nicotine would become.
If the Pink product was oxidized, surely the older product in the picture would be much darker! You would also have a very harsh, pungent liquid, which this is NOT!

Why is it Pink?
Like we said its a natural product and within the extraction process from tobacco leaf, natural variations in colour occur from batch to batch. Most importantly, within the facilitation process this does NOT undergo a bleeching process like some European/Indian/American manufactured Nicotine does.

This bleaching process has a severely detrimental effect to the product, making it much more unstable over a shorter period of time. This is due to the heat needed to eliminate the bleaching agent from the Nicotine within the cleansing process. Naturally, any extra facilitation involving heat will degrade the Nicotine.

You may recall, that for a short period of time, a couple of years ago, we added this type of Nicotine to our store, as we were accused of selling a lower grade Nicotine for a higher price by our competitors. So we showed you the differences in product. Not long after we decided to withdraw that product due to quality issues. We kept batches of both EU & UK product in both PG & VG from November 2018 and have decided to show you the results of this nicotine kept at -15c.

Please see image below - (PG Left & VG Right)

You can see the darker EU liquid on the left of each pairing, which has clearly degraded/oxidized, these were Crystal Clear when we received them at the time of freezing. Where as the UK liquids on the right of each pairing is less so, These were never Clear, albeit with only a slight pink tinge, You can see that it has lost its natural pinkness and started to go yellow, over another few years, this would continue to degrade and become darker, but we very much doubt to the level of the EU product has already reached. We will be sure to let you know how they develop in a few years time, as they're heading back into the freezer.

I would finally like to point out that from the few emails we have received regarding this, Every query was in relation to the aesthetics, upon delivery before the product had been used. We have not had one customer come back and say that the product was non satisfactory upon use, or was sub-standard on quality. We wouldn't sell it, if we thought it was not fit for sale, but again we base this on the quality of product across the spectrum and NOT just aesthetically.

We would you encourage you to obtain a MSDS or COA for any Nicotine containing product you obtain from anywhere. We are more than happy to supply full MSDS and COA for all of our products, please contact us for this should you wish. We are currently in the process of building a New Store and these will be clearly visible within each product, as full transparency is as important to us, as it is to you!

We would also encourage anyone who has crystal clear Nicotine delivered to them, to question "how it became so clear" from their supplier/manufacture. As this is not a Natural Product.

We hope this expels a few myths surrounding Nicotine and the "pink" colour. (although our photography skills are not the best) but as always, please do let us know if we can be of any further assistance regarding this matter or anything else.

Kind Regards

Barry Caine
